Meredith has lost her parents. |
The youngest of three daughters of a noble house in Faline, Meredith had many shining examples of how not to behave merely from echoing the motions of her sisters, and when they failed, passing them by, until she was the most perfect daughter a noble family could want. This is not to say, however, how Meredith sees it. Her life has felt like one failed attempt after another to please her parents and succeed where her sisters failed. For years, she aimed to please and hear a little praise, and while family friends and distant relatives always complimented Meredith on what a perfect lady she was, it was never enough for her parents. At the age of sixteen, the discussion of her marriage finally came around, and they began to look for a suitable husband. They found one in a noble man of twenty, Jaren of house Azure. He was impressed with everything he saw in Meredith, but rarely ever spoke to her, and preferred to point his questions towards her parents, even if she were in front of him. Meredith began to feel like she was losing a bit of herself every day. That is, until the journal. |
Meredith is a very repressed woman. She has lived her life for others all her life, so much that she feels almost as if she lacks a "self" of her own. Her goal is perfection for all who see her. But she does have her limits, despite not wanting to she sometimes gets angry and frustrated at everyone around her. She also gets very lonely. She tries to force down these emotions however, only wanting to feel the "proper" emotion others want her to feel, or feel nothing at all. After all these years this attitude has left it's mark on her, although while in public she's almost mastered keeping herself composed in private emotions manifest themselves physically on her so much that sometimes she's reduced to weeping and trembling. |
Meredith is the picture of aristocracy. She has an aura of nobility to her, and a graceful manner, her face perfectly composed in front of company and family. When no one else is around, she allows herself to relax and expresses much more emotions through her facial expressions and body language. Her hair is long and black, framing her face and falling down her back, her dark eyes standing out on her pale face. |
